Homemade Whole Wheat Tortillas

  • 2 cups unbleached white flour
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp salt (I use sea salt)
  • ½ cup olive oil (or coconut oil)
  • 1- ½ cups warm water
  1. Mix all ingredients together. Do not over work or they will be tough.
  2. Pinch off golf ball sized pieces of dough, roll into a ball, cover and let rest for ten minutes.
  3. Roll out the tortilla and place in a large hot skillet
  4. Turn when it begins to puff up (about 1 minute on each side, depending on how hot your burner is)
