Instructions
  1. Follow instructions on soap making.
  2. Melt your oils in one pot.
  3. Combine water milk and lye in a separate container.
  4. When both are 90-100 degree F, combine and stir until trace.
  5. Add essential oils and follow one of the options below.
  6. Option 1: Hot Process - The hot process method is loved by many because you can use it immediately after cooling; texture and look of soap is lightly different. After bringing to trace, cook in crock pot on medium to low heat for 1 hour. Mixture will become more translucent (you'll see the difference). Then spoon into mold until cool. When cool, take out and slice. Store in a lightly vented container.
  7. Option 2: Cold Process - Cold processing means having to wait 3-6 weeks while the soap hardens. After trace, pour into mold and incubate for 24 hours. Remove from mold and slice, let air for 3-6 weeks before using.
Notes
*I sometimes use 10 oz water instead of 4oz water + 6oz milk. You can also use other types of milk.
