Tallow or Lard
cinnamon leaf essential oil
clove essential oil
allspice essential oil
nutmeg essential oil
optional and 1 tsp paprika (optional) OR 1 Tablespoon Moroccan clay (optional)
Combine tallow, coconut, and olive oil in a large pot and heat on medium until all oils are melted. Cool to 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Weigh pumpkin and set aside.
Add lye to water outside with proper face and body protection. Let cool to 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit.
When both oils and lye water are approx. 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit, pour the lye water into the oils and blend with a hand or stick blender on and off until it begins to thicken (trace).
At light trace, add pumpkin and essential oils and blend well.
If you are adding turmeric and paprika or the Moroccan clay for enhanced color, add those now as well. You may want to remove a cup of soap and mix in another bowl so spices are mixed well.
Add to your mold and cover lightly for 24 hours before removing and cooling.
