Instructions
Grease and flour a 9in x 13in glass baking dish (Or a large, oven safe glass bowl if you're making a spider).
Combine the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl and cream together.

2 cups white sugar,
2 eggs,
1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
2-2/3 cup unbleached all purpose flour,
3/4 cup cocoa powder,
2 teaspoons baking soda,
1/4 teaspoon salt
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Pour in milk and boiling water and mix just until fully incorporated.

1 cup boiling water
Pour batter into the baking dish and bake at 350 degree Fahrenheit for 30 minutes, or until fork inserted into the middle comes out clean.
