Essential Oil Blend for a Cold and Flu Remedy

You can fight colds and flu with essential oils!  Now, I’m not allowed to tell you it’s a cure because the FDA hasn’t approved my comments, so we’ll use terms like “boosting your immune system”, and “strengthening your body, ” or “helping your body fight off bacteria and virus growth.”  Because that’s exactly what this does…Amazingly!

What’s exciting, is that today I’m going to give you 2 Things:

1. An amazing essential oil blend for strengthening your body when you are sick.

So first….the amazing blend (the “Fight Cold and Flu with Essential Oils” blend)!!!

Natural Cold and Flu Remedy with Essential Oils

Oils Used:

1. Oregano
2. Frankincense
3. Cloves
4. Ravensara
5. Black Cumin Seed
6. Hyssop

I chose these essential oils because they are potent.  Other essential oil blends out there to fight colds and flu include lemon, rosemary, and eucalyptus essential oils.  While these are fabulous oils that I use very often for various things.  They are NOT my “go to” oils for when we are getting sick.  They go well (because they are cheaper and smell nice) with cloves and cinnamon, which are the real power in those name brand blends.

For my blend, I have spoken with herbalists and discovered that anyone who truly uses oils and herbs for health on a regular basis keeps hyssop, oregano, cloves, and the other oils above at hand at all times.

Cold and Flu Remedy to Boost the Immune System

To use this blend, add a few drops into your essential oil diffuser and diffuse. into the air throughout the day or while you are sleeping. You can also test for allergic reactions and apply a few drops to the chest or the bottom of the feet.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

• Combine all essential oils and black cumin seed oil in a 15ml (0.5 ounce) amber glass dropper bottle.
• Add sweet almond oil and seal until ready to use.

Always check for allergies before applying on the body or to a diffuser. Do not diffuse around dogs or cats. Use with caution with small children. I have used with children 5 and up by diluting to 2-3%.
