How to Infuse Oil with Herbs
A quick and easy way to infuse an oil with herbs, whether flower petals or leaves, is to:
- Measure the oil you are using in your recipe into a saucepan.
- Add a handful of fresh herbs or a Tablespoon or two or dried herbs. I know that’s not specific, but amounts will vary depending on the type of herb. It’s a good rule just to add amounts as the suggested above.
- Heat over very low heat (you do not want to scald the herbs) for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat and allow to cool.
The heat will help the oils within the herb to release.

Peppermint and Calendula Lip Balm
This lip balm is great for multiple reasons. First, peppermint increases blood flow, making it great for lips. Calendula is wonderful for skin, meaning those chapped lips will heal even faster.
