4 Morning Energizing Essential Oil Blends

A number of people have asked for ideas to boost energy in the morning, so that they can get started with their day and get everything done that needs to be done. I’ve also also had moms ask me about getting their teens up and  going in the morning for school.

Having a diffuser ready to turn on with energizing essential oil blends is a simple and effective idea.

If you are new to using essential oils, make sure to start by reading Essential Oil Safety Guidelines.

Essential oils can be diffused with a purchased diffuser, smelled straight from the bottle, or even placed on a homemade diffuser. Use what you have and what works for you.

4 Energizing Essential Oil Blends from Simple Life Mom

Which oils can create an energizing essential oil blend?

You have to use what works with your own body chemistry.

Remember, our bodies are a beautifully complex mixture of chemicals that react with other chemicals around us. The chemical constituents of essential oils can combine with your own body chemicals to stimulate, calm, and focus. What I love may not work for you, because our body chemistry is different from one another.

So, start by smelling from the bottle and choosing what is pleasing to you.

Energizing Essential Oils: Bergamot, Orange, Peppermint, Spearmint, Cedarwood, Fir, Basil, Rosemary, frankincense, grapefruit, lemon

You can create your own blend using 5-7 drops total of your favorite essential oils in your diffuser.

4 Morning Energizing Essential Oil Blends

I’ve provided 4 combinations to get you started. These are some of our favorite blends.

Consider also adding a drop or two of focusing and anti-anxiety oils like ylang ylang, vetiver, cypress, basil, lemongrass, patchouli, lavender, rose, marjoram, or geranium.

Energizing Blend #1

  • 2 drops bergamot
  • 2 drops cedar wood
  • 1 drop frankincense
  • 1 drop orange

Energizing Blend #2

  • 2 drops cedar wood
  • 2 drops fir
  • 1 drop basil
  • 1 drop rosemary

Energizing Blend #3

  • 2 drops peppermint
  • 2 drops orange
  • 2 drops grapefruit
  • 2 drops lavender

Energizing Blend #4

  • 2 drops spearmint
  • 2 drops orange
  • 2 drops ylang ylang
  • 1 drop cedarwood

You can get your diffusers ready the night before so all you have to do is hit that on button in the morning. So, use these blends and try a combination of the oils listed above for calming and focusing to have a great morning!

These sound lovely! I missed Lesson 2 as I found Dr Z’s videos late but have watched Lessons 3 and 4; like you l have been learning more and busting up old ideas!

The diffuser I own is about 15-20 years old…..the large etched glass bowl that swirls mist everywhere and holds about 3 cups of water….it’s wonderful and lasts a couple days! I seem to pull it each winter for whatever reason and use it at work and home. I typically add double or triple each of the essential oils though….are your amounts listed for smaller containers? I don’t have a scale to follow just guess!
    Thanks!!! Judy

It could be that your diffuser is not as efficient, but it could also be taste. I like a subtle scent. I’m glad you’re enjoying the course.

Dr. Z said that essential oils evaporate really easy, so I wonder if you put drops of oil into the diffuser the night before, would it evaporate through out the night?

I’m trying to find a way for my 13 yr old son to wake up more easily in the morning. I wonder what is the best time to turn on the diffuser? Is half hour before his alarm time ok? 🙂

You can add them the night before and they will still be there and fine in the morning. A half hour before the alarm is a good time to start.

I’m thinking of mixing a few drops of energizing oils in almond oil as a moisturizing oil for skin after shower.
