Every year, I like to put together a list of fun DIY projects for handmade Christmas gifts. This year I have 21 ideas for you to work with; ideas for beauty and body gifts, crafts like car fresheners, food (yes, they can be made ahead wonderfully), and even health gifts like elderberry syrup, herbal blends for teas and relaxation.
Why make Handmade Christmas Gifts?
- It’s Frugal!
- It’s obvious that you put effort into the gift and it shows that you care.
- It’s Creative and Unique. There will be no other gift exactly like yours.
- It’s Fun! Choose colors, designs, sizes, flavors, scents…it’s just FUN!
- It’s Frugal! Yes, it needs to be said again…It’s frugal! It’s not cheap, meaning it’s not something that’s a piece of junk, but you can make something beautiful, meaningful, and valuable and by making it for multiple people on your list you can save a lot of money.
Now, if you have good intentions, but somehow can’t find the time or resources, remember that you can find a lot of these items already made for you in My Shop.
Why Start Now?
Starting early means you’ll be able to take your time and choose what you want to do, who you want to make the gifts for, and gives you time to collect your recipes and make decisions on things like color and scent.
Starting early also means you’ll be able to give your soap time to cure, give your extracts time to steep, and give yourself time to package and decorate the final product.
